Responsibilities

• Oversee market intelligence activities including TAM, customer landscape, market dynamics, and competition.
• Lead perspectives on HDD and adjacent markets; track demand signals and tech shifts.
• Develop models and insights on AI-driven data growth, cloud capex cycles, and storage economics.
• Partner with venture teams to size new markets and develop WD market views.
• Assess where WD’s tech and relationships create a right to play and where to partner.
• Recommend opportunities for diligence or investment and define leading indicators.
• Support quarterly reviews and annual strategy with market outlook.
• Collaborate with sales, product, finance, and strategy on market-driven decisions.
• Maintain evidence-based view of competitive landscape and flag implications.
• Manage relationships with external analysts and research vendors.
