Job summary

WD is seeking a seasoned Corporate Strategy leader to define and execute the go-to-market and long-term strategy for its core HDD business. You will work with executive leadership to build frameworks, evaluate partnerships, and align across product, engineering, and finance teams.

The role requires a deep background in data storage or adjacent infrastructure, MBA, and proven ability to drive cross-functional initiatives with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years in top-tier management consulting or in-house corporate strategy roles.
• Experience in GTM/commercial leadership in data storage or adjacent infra.
• Deep domain in data storage, semiconductors, enterprise/cloud infra.
• Proven track record running strategic projects end-to-end for senior leadership.
• Strong financial acumen to evaluate business models and market economics.
• Outstanding executive communication for C‑suite and Board contexts.

Responsibilities

• Define sales and commercial strategy for WD's HDD core business with commercial leadership.
• Support portfolio of strategic projects (ecosystem activation, technology assessment, supply chain optimization, etc.).
• Build WD ecosystem strategy across hyperscalers, OEMs, system integrators, and cloud vendors.
• Execute high-priority strategic projects end-to-end (go-to-market, frameworks, build-vs-buy-vs-partner).
• Translate priorities into actionable recommendations for the Executive Leadership Team.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Commercial, Finance and Legal to align strategy with execution.
