Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Finance Segment Manager to lead financial analysis, planning and data mining for their segments. You will coordinate with Operations, Finance, Accounting, IT and Sales to deliver timely results and strategic insights.

The role requires a highly detailed, collaborative professional able to manage monthly closes, produce forecasts, and present findings to senior leadership while driving process improvements across segments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance required/experience
• Master's Degree preferred in Accounting/Finance
• 6+ years in Accounting/Finance or related field
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Advanced
• Workday and Adaptive Insights intermediate
• Programming/relational database design/query intermediate
• Microsoft Power BI preferred

Responsibilities

• Manages financials of assigned accounts/product lines, including close activities, P&L review, accrual analysis, revenue reconciliations, journal entries.
• Consolidate, prepare, and analyze financial data; communicate findings to Operations, Finance, Accounting, IT, and Sales; present close results and forecasts to senior leadership.
• Lead various miscellaneous projects spanning one or multiple locations.
• Provide coaching and delegation of work to lower level professionals.
• Conduct periodic audits of operations to ensure controls are in place.
