Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Finance Segment Manager to lead financial analysis, planning, and data mining for assigned business segments. You will coordinate with Operations, Finance, Accounting, IT, and Sales to deliver results and present forecasts to senior leadership with actionable insights.

The role requires a detail-oriented, collaborative, and highly technical professional capable of managing close activities, ensuring controls, and coaching staff across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 6+ years in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Advanced.
• Workday and Adaptive Insights Intermediate preferred.
• Programming/SQL knowledge intermediate preferred.
• Power BI knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly close activities and P&L reviews.
• Consolidate, prepare and analyze data; communicate findings to senior leadership.
• Lead cross-location projects and coordinate with Operations, IT, and Sales.
• Coach and delegate work to junior staff.
• Conduct periodic audits of operations and controls.
