Job summary

Chimes DC is seeking a Safety & Health Manager (Finance) to lead safety programs, enforce standards, and coordinate training across operations. The role involves directing safety initiatives, conducting audits, and ensuring PPE and regulatory compliance to protect employees and the public.

The position supports corporate QA & Compliance with a focus on health, safety, and environmental responsibilities, requiring an undergraduate safety degree and OSHA outreach trainer credentials.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a safety or related field preferred.
• OSHA General Industry Outreach Trainer authorization (OSHA 501) with renewal requirements.
• OSHA 503 update required within renewal periods and instructor credentials maintained.
• CPR/First-Aid Instructor preferred or willing to obtain.
• Knowledge of federal and state safety and environmental regulations.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive if needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and ensure the safety of employees, subcontractors and the public during operations.
• Enforce safety programs and federal, state, and local standards.
• Assist in development and coordination of project-specific safety programs.
• Develop, evaluate and upgrade safety programs with leadership.
• Advise on safety compliance and preventative actions.
• Conduct quarterly safety surveys, prepare reports and implement corrective actions.
• Plan annual safety activities to meet regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Collaborate with training to schedule and conduct safety trainings and recertifications.
• Conduct job hazard assessments and report findings to leadership.
• Ensure PPE program compliance and security requirements.

Education

Undergraduate degree in a safety or related field

OSHA Authorized General Industry Outreach Trainer

OSHA #503 Update for General Industry Outreach Trainers

CPR First-Aid Instructor preferred, or willingness to obtain

Knowledge of federal and state safety and environmental regulations

Valid driver’s license
