Job summary

Capital Waste Services seeks a Safety Manager to support OSHA, DOT, FMCSA compliance across multiple facilities. You will partner with operations to promote a culture of safety, conduct audits, inspections, and training, and manage corrective actions to reduce risk.

The role requires field visits, incident investigations, data tracking of KPIs, and clear reporting to leadership. A background in environmental health or industrial hygiene and 3–5 years of safety experience is preferred; travel

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Three to five years of experience in safety, compliance, risk management, transportation, waste services, or related operational environments.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations, audits, inspections, and training programs.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage safety programs, policies and procedures.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and facility assessments.
• Lead safety training and new-hire orientations.
• Investigate incidents and determine root causes.
• Monitor regulatory changes and maintain records.
