Job summary

Johnson Controls offers a 2.5-year Finance & Accounting rotational program designed to develop future leaders across multiple business units. Associates will rotate every six months, work on financial planning, analysis, and reporting, and receive mentorship from senior leaders.

Beginning January 2027, participants will gain hands-on experience in budgeting, tax, treasury, and plant accounting, with opportunities to move into roles aligned with performance and interests within the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance completed by January 2027.
• Knowledge of basic finance and accounting concepts.
• Ability to adapt to new rotational roles every 6 months.
• Proficiency in MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills.
• Ability to gather and interpret information from diverse sources.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Effective and professional communication and organization.

Responsibilities

• Extract data from financial systems and perform analyses to explain variances.
• Participate in budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans with timely inputs.
• Work on projects to improve efficiency, service levels, and cost.
• Assist in preparing supporting documentation and tax filings.
• Participate in analysis of changes in tax laws or strategies.
• Assist with treasury activities including daily cash management.
• Participate in networking events and leadership training.
• At least one rotation in a JCI plant outside Milwaukee, WI.
• Performs other duties as directed.
