Job summary

Edward Jones is seeking a Senior Risk Manager – Finance to join the Finance Risk Management team. You will lead the Enterprise Risk Management program, advise on risk governance, and partner with business lines to strengthen risk controls and timely reporting.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, strong analytical skills, and effective communication to influence stakeholders. Internal risk ownership and SOX experience are valuable, with a focus on timely risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance or accounting (preferred).
• 5+ years of risk management experience required.
• Experience building cross-functional relationships to drive alignment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and system-thinking skills.
• Effective communication with diverse audiences in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Execute Finance risk and control activities per the ERM program.
• Perform critical risk assessments for new projects and initiatives.
• Maintain risk inventories and support credible challenge of actions.
• Document risk issues in GRC with timely reporting to governance.
• Develop risk reporting for forums and escalation as needed.
• Monitor emerging risk and provide early-warning insights.
• Develop KRIs to monitor the division's risk profile.
• Support risk training and education initiatives.
