Job summary

Charter Manufacturing Company is seeking a Finance Reporting & Analytics Intern in Mequon, WI. The program combines hands-on FP&A work with training in budgeting, forecasting, KPI tracking, and advanced data tools.

You will work 15-20 hours per week during the academic year and 40 hours per week in the summer, starting May 2027. A Sophomore in Accounting/Finance with a 2.75+ GPA is preferred, along with strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a four-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with Sophomore status.
• GPA of 2.75 or higher is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain automated financial reporting dashboards and datasets.
• Prepare management reporting packages with clear, actionable insights.
• Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to support leadership decisions.
• Research industry trends and market insights relevant to finance.
• Build scenario analyses to evaluate potential business outcomes.
• Improve the accuracy and consistency of financial reporting.

About the Finance Reporting & Analytics Internship:

Build hands-on experience in financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, management reporting, and KPI tracking. Strengthen your technical and analytical skills through advanced Excel, financial systems, data tools such as Snowflake, Tableau, and Power BI, and exposure to SQL, while developing business communication, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.

Program Structure:

• Schedule: Part-time (15-20 hours/week) during the academic year and full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer
• Location: Mequon, WI
• Start Date: May 2027
• Duration: Year-round internship

What we're looking for:

• Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with current status of at least a Sophomore level
• Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Ability to succeed in a team environment
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred experience:

• Accounting or Finance major with multiple related courses completed toward major
• Strong attention to details, accuracy, and reliability
