You will oversee staffing, utilization, and professional development for associates, while partnering with partners and senior leaders. The role emphasizes financial analysis, resource planning, and operational efficiency, with a hybrid NYC location and competitive salary.

J.D. preferred; MBA considered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing a finance-related practice group at a law firm.
• J.D. preferred; MBA or equivalent industry experience considered.
• Strong project management, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Comfortable partnering with partners, associates, and senior business leaders.
• Strong financial acumen with advanced Microsoft Office and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage associate staffing, utilization, and work allocation across the Finance practice.
• Partner with associates on professional development, training, mentoring, and career goals.
• Analyze utilization, productivity, profitability, and other practice performance metrics.
• Work with practice leaders to identify staffing needs and support hiring and workforce planning.
• Help integrate new associates and of counsel into the practice.
• Partner with Finance, Talent, Innovation, and other teams to improve resource allocation and efficiency.
• Support practice leadership with financial analysis, strategic initiatives, communications, and day-to-day operations.
