Job summary

Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP is seeking a Practice Analytics Manager to partner with Practice Management and Industry Leaders. The role translates financial and operational data into actionable insights to support revenue growth, margin improvement, profitability, pricing, matter budgeting, forecasting, utilization and collections.

The incumbent will own FP&A activities, develop profitability models, oversee monthly/quarterly financial packages, and drive reporting with clear narratives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in practice management, pricing, FP&A or related financial analysis roles within a professional services environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA/JD/Master’s preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence partners and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proven reliability, organizational skills and attention to detail; able to work in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead FP&A for assigned practice groups, including budgeting, rolling forecasts, and KPI reporting.
• Develop and maintain profitability models by client/matter and timekeeper, including utilization and realization.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly financial packages with narratives for leadership meetings.
• Monitor billing and collections performance, aging reviews, and action plans for at‑risk matters.
• Collaborate with Marketing/BD to track strategic goals and performance.
