Job summary

Decile Group, a fintech startup, is seeking a Finance & People Operations Associate to run day‑to‑day finance and HR operations. You will own AR/AP, payroll in Rippling, and month‑end close, while ensuring compliance across remote‑first headcount.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in accounting, HR administration, or finance operations at a startup, tech company, or fintech
• Hands‑on experience with Rippling (HR, payroll, or benefits modules)
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or a comparable cloud accounting platform
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills
• Track record of owning processes independently, not just executing tasks
• Comfort handling sensitive data with discretion
• Clear, professional written communication
• Familiarity with cap table concepts or willingness to learn

Responsibilities

• Quarterly AR cycle: send invoices to 250+ customers via Ignition, track collections, and follow up on past‑due accounts
• AP processing: manage vendor invoices and ensure timely payment
• Payroll and benefits administration in Rippling, including onboarding/offboarding and deductions accuracy
• Month‑end close support: bank reconciliations, prepaid schedules, accruals, and benefits expense reconciliation
• State compliance: manage multi‑state payroll registrations as the team grows
• HR records and compliance with employment regulations across remote‑first headcount
• Ad hoc support for the VP of Finance on reporting, audits, and operational projects
