Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group in Chicago seeks an experienced payroll and financial operations professional to administer payroll, AR/AP, and related accounting processes. You will ensure accurate timekeeping, payroll deductions, and statutory compliance while maintaining confidential employee records.

Qualifications

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee information and handle sensitive data.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with OPERA or similar systems is a plus.
• Experience in payroll, A/R, A/P, and income audit is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer payroll policies and ensure compliance with laws and company guidelines.
• Process payroll accurately, including timekeeping, deductions, taxes, and adjustments.
• Review timekeeping and payroll information for accuracy and approvals.
• Maintain payroll records, benefits, garnishments, and pay changes.
• Prepare payroll-related reports for management and labor costing.
• Perform A/R billing, payments, and collections and handle inquiries.
• Process AP invoices and verify approvals and coding.
• Assist with income audit, month-end closing, and GL activities.
• Coordinate with department managers on timekeeping and payroll communications.
• Support timekeeping system and payroll-related meetings.
