Job summary

SP+ is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to join our finance team in Chicago. You will prepare financial reports, develop budgets, perform variance analysis, and oversee AR/AP, ledgers and month-end close.

Experience with payroll systems and tax/compliance is valued. Responsibilities include internal audit oversight, payroll processing, general accounting, monthly Parker billing, and maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
• At least four years of professional accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Working knowledge of Quicken or AS400.
• Experience with Workforce Now or other payroll systems.
• Knowledge of payroll processing and time/attendance systems.
• Ability to review financial statements and contracts.
• Strong time management and project skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial reports and budgets with variance analysis.
• Oversee AR/AP, account reconciliations, and cash management.
• Administer financial management systems and integrations.
• Oversee auditing processes and monthly revenue reports.
• Maintain general ledgers and month-end/year-end reporting.
• Handle monthly Parker billing and collections.
