New York Life Insurance Co. seeks an Associate, Finance Operations to support financial operations and administration for NYLARC entities. You will perform financial analysis, accounting, and reporting, using SQL, Excel, Databricks, and approved AI tools.

The role combines accounting with process improvement, working under guidance with opportunities to enhance recurring workflows. Hybrid work arrangement with 3 days on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in finance operations, accounting, financial analysis, or related analytical role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare recurring financial and operational analyses covering results, equity allocations, FYC, and incentives; summarize trends for review.
• Write and update SQL queries to retrieve, join, summarize, and validate data using reporting definitions.
• Use Databricks for data preparation and validation with guidance on new workflows.
• Prepare dashboards, Excel reports, and presentations using established data sources.
• Perform data-quality checks and investigate routine discrepancies; escalate unresolved items.
• Identify repetitive manual steps and recommend improvements; help test and implement changes.
• Use AI platforms for documentation and queries; verify outputs before use and follow data-security rules.
• Maintain documentation of data sources, calculations, and reporting procedures.
