Job summary

New York Life in New York is seeking a Senior Associate (PF3) for Separate Accounts (FP&A) to join a hybrid team. You will review reconciliations, journal entries, trend analyses, and support statutory statements for NYLIAC and Separate Accounts, ensuring accuracy and regulatory alignment.

You will leverage advanced analytics, automate reporting where possible, and coordinate with offshore staff to drive efficiency, controls, and insightful financial reporting for management decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• Knowledge of life insurance industry accounting and statutory principles is a plus.
• Understanding of controls, SOX/MARS, and reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Review reconciliations, journal entries, and trend analyses for Separate Accounts.
• Analyze monthly/quarterly investment and insurance activity for variances.
• Assist in annual Separate Account Statutory statements and filings.
• Review statutory disclosures and footnotes with supporting analysis.
• Provide value-added analysis for financial reporting and management decisions.
• Participate in process improvements, automation, and reporting enhancements.
• Review offshore work and provide feedback for accuracy and consistency.
