HireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company find a Finance Operations Analyst to provide the financial rigor behind program cost estimates, budgets, forecasting, and reporting.
In this role, you’ll build and maintain financial models, track program spend against forecasts, analyze variances, and partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure financial data is accurate and ready for leadership review.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in FP&A or financial analysis and is interested in applying those skills within a hardware, vehicle, or manufacturing program environment. You’re highly analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights that support program and investment decisions.
As a Finance Operations Analyst, You'll
- Build and maintain financial models supporting program budgets, cost baselines, forecasts, and should-cost analysis.
- Track actual program spend against forecasts, analyze variances, and prepare clear, leadership-ready explanations of key drivers.
- Support monthly and quarterly close activities, including accruals, invoice reconciliation, and purchase order tracking, in partnership with Finance and Procurement.
- Partner with Cost Engineering to validate BOM cost estimates and evaluate the financial impact of design, sourcing, and other program changes.
- Prepare recurring financial reports and dashboards for program and engineering leadership and support business-case modeling for build-vs-buy, make-vs-buy, and other investment decisions.
- Identify gaps in financial tracking and reporting processes and help implement improvements.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, cost accounting, or a related finance role
- Strong financial modeling skills in Excel or Google Sheets, including variance analysis, forecasting, and scenario modeling
- Experience partnering cross-functionally with teams outside of finance, such as engineering, program management, or procurement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate detailed financial information into clear narratives for non-finance stakeholders and leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in automotive, aerospace, hardware, or manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with ERP and procurement systems such as SAP, Ariba, or similar platforms, as well as cost or BOM tracking tools
- Exposure to program-level financial governance, including budget reviews, business-case approvals, or cost baselines
- Experience with data and BI tools beyond spreadsheets, such as SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools
