Job summary

HireArt is seeking a Finance Operations Analyst in Foster City, CA to provide financial rigor for program budgets, forecasts and reporting. You will build models, analyze spend vs forecasts, and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate data for leadership reviews.

The ideal candidate has FP&A or financial analysis experience, strong Excel/Sheets skills, and the ability to translate complex numbers into clear narratives for stakeholders and leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field.
• 2+ years of FP&A or financial analysis experience.
• Strong financial modeling in Excel/Sheets, including forecasting and scenario analysis.
• Experience partnering with engineering, program management or procurement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for leadership.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models supporting program budgets, cost baselines, forecasts, and should-cost analysis.
• Track actual program spend against forecasts, analyze variances, and prepare leadership explanations.
• Support monthly/quarterly close activities including accruals and PO tracking with Finance/Procurement.
• Partner with Cost Engineering to validate BOM cost estimates and financial impact of changes.
• Prepare recurring reports and dashboards for leadership and support business-case modeling.
• Identify gaps in financial tracking and help implement improvements.
