HireArt is hiring a Data Analyst – Fleet Operations & Analytics in Foster City, CA to transform telemetry, service logs and dispatch data into actionable insights for operations, safety and engineering teams.

You will build dashboards, reports, and self-serve analytics, tracking KPIs related to fleet performance, mission success, and efficiency. The role emphasizes scalable reporting, data quality, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a hybrid, onsite setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data analytics, statistics, CS, business analytics or related field
• 3+ years in data analysis, BI or analytics roles
• Strong SQL for querying, data manipulation and analysis
• Experience with large datasets and turning raw data into insights
• Experience with data visualization tools (Looker/Tableau/Power BI)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication, presenting insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to work cross-functionally with ops, engineering, product, and business teams
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments

Responsibilities

HireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company hire a Data Analyst – Fleet Operations & Analytics to support the data systems, reporting, and operational insights that power autonomous fleet operations.

In this role, you’ll transform vehicle telemetry, service logs, dispatch data, and operational metrics into actionable insights that improve decision‑making across operations, safety, and engineering teams. You’ll focus on analytics, KPI development, reporting, and dashboard creation while helping teams better understand fleet performance, operational efficiency, and system reliability.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced in translating complex operational data into clear business insights and scalable reporting solutions.

As a Data Analyst – Fleet Operations & Analytics, You'll

• Analyze vehicle telemetry, service logs, dispatch data, and operational metrics to identify trends, risks, and actionable insights.
• Build and maintain dashboards, recurring reports, and visualizations for fleet operations, safety, and engineering stakeholders.
• Define, track, and report on KPIs related to fleet performance, mission success, operational readiness, and efficiency.
• Ensure datasets used for reporting and analysis are accurate, reliable, and well-structured.
• Partner closely with fleet operations, safety, remote assistance, engineering, and product teams to understand reporting needs and operational challenges.
• Translate business questions into scalable reporting, dashboarding, and analytical solutions.
• Enable self‑service analytics by developing well‑documented datasets, dashboards, and reporting tools.
• Communicate analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Identify operational inefficiencies, recurring issues, and performance gaps through data analysis and trend monitoring.
• Support operational decision-making with timely, data‑driven recommendations and reporting.
• Help establish structured feedback loops to capture, analyze, and share operational learnings.
• Support automation initiatives that reduce manual reporting efforts and improve data accessibility.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in data analytics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, business analytics, or a related discipline
• 3+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics‑focused roles
• Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, data manipulation, and analysis
• Experience working with large datasets and transforming raw data into actionable insights
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with operations, engineering, product, and business teams
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast‑paced environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with operational, logistics, mobility, or fleet-related data
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, or reporting workflows
• Familiarity with Databricks or similar analytics platforms
• Experience building self‑service reporting or analytics solutions
• Experience supporting operational decision‑making in fast‑paced technical environments

Commitment:

This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via HireArt. The role is hybrid, requiring at least three days per week onsite, and is available to candidates local to the Foster City, CA area.
