Job summary

Passes is seeking a Finance Manager to own the entire finance function in a fast-paced startup setting. The role combines day-to-day operations with strategic planning, reporting, and compliance, and requires comfort with AI tools like Claude.

You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, payroll, cash flow, PNLs, and vendor payments within Passes' Mercury, Ramp, and Rippling ecosystem. Remote work within the US is supported.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years of experience in finance roles; exceptional candidates considered.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• Fluency with AI tools, especially Claude, is required.
• Comfortable owning a full department with limited senior backup.
• Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Own all financial operations: budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis.
• Manage payroll and day-to-day financial operations.
• Own headcount cost modeling and fully-loaded cost of roles.
• Own PNL reporting and present updates to leadership.
• Monitor cash flow and optimize resource use.
• Manage budget tracking via Ramp and flag out-of-policy spending.
• Support payments operations in Mercury and manual payouts.
• Partner on sales compensation structures and benchmarking.
• Contribute to fundraising and M&A discussions; assess financial risk.
