Job summary

Passes, a startup platform empowering creators, seeks a senior finance leader to own budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis in a fast-growth environment.

You will manage payroll, headcount cost modeling, and P&L updates to the executive team while ensuring GAAP compliance and audit readiness. The role also involves fundraising exposure and partnering with the People function on sales compensation benchmarking.

Qualifications

• Startup/high-growth finance experience preferred.
• Solid GAAP knowledge and internal controls.
• Payroll management and vendor invoicing experience.

Responsibilities

• Own budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and analysis.

Job description

• Own all financial operations: budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis.
• Manage payroll and day-to-day financial operations, and own headcount cost modeling.
• Own PNL reporting and present regular financial updates to leadership.

Compliance and Payments:

• Ensure financial compliance including tax filings, GAAP-aligned reporting, and audit readiness.
• Implement internal controls and stay current on payments compliance requirements.
• Work hands-on in Passes' proprietary system and Mercury for manual payouts and vendor invoicing.

Strategic and Risk:

• Bring exposure to fundraising and M&A dynamics in a startup environment.
• Identify and mitigate financial risk.
• Partner with the Head of People on sales compensation and benchmarking.
