Job summary

Aramark Correctional Services is seeking a Finance Manager to partner with Operations in developing financial analysis and reporting to aid planning and performance evaluation. This role provides guidance to front-line management while training, coaching, developing and mentoring operations managers.

The position involves coordinating month-end close, variance analysis, cost productivity reviews, and ensuring internal controls.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on accounting/finance experience with analytical responsibility.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in finance/accounting.
• MBA or coursework toward MBA preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with senior management and pri oritize multiple projects.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the month-end close process and variance analysis versus projection and plan.
• Weekly and monthly analysis of food, labor and direct cost productivity.
• Root cause analysis of variances to plan and projections.
• Lead bookkeepers ensuring completeness and integrity of financial reports.
• Partner with operations to drive profitability and revenue growth.
• Oversee contract results and participate in performance reviews.
• Train staff on financial reporting systems and responsibilities.
• Support client meetings, quarterly business reviews and budget presentations.
• Contribute to new business and client retention with analytical support.
• Coordinate monthly projection and planning processes.
• Assist with budgeting and target analysis.
• Lead responses to client inquiries and develop proformas.
• Develop monthly invoices for contracts with bookkeepers' support.
• Involve in accounts receivable collections, inventory management and capex controls.
• Assist with internal audits and government audits.
• Track and report modifications; develop ad hoc reports for senior management.
• Provide historical, current and future financial data.
