SBH Career is seeking a Finance Manager / Controller in Midtown Manhattan to oversee daily financial operations for two related businesses and support essential office administration. The role requires ownership of accounting, cash flow, A/R, A/P, and financial reporting with proactive, detail-oriented work in a small team.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounting, finance management, controllership, bookkeeping, or related financial role.
• Strong understanding of AR, AP, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
• Experience preparing P&L statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, and aging reports.
• Strong understanding of bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Experience working with outside accountants and tax professionals.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting and financial operations for two related businesses.
• Prepare monthly financial reports including profit & loss, balance sheets, cash flow, and aging reports.
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable; monitor outstanding balances and payment schedules.
• Monitor cash flow and provide ownership with clear visibility into available capital.
• Develop and maintain internal controls and accurate financial documentation.
• Coordinate with outside accountants, tax professionals, and banks; assist with year-end accounting.
