Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee financial operations (P2P, OTC, and R2R) across multiple projects and ensure accurate reporting, strong controls, and strategic planning. You will partner with operations, project leads, and leadership to evaluate performance, manage cash flow, and support growth.

Reporting to the Division Controller, you will drive close processes and governance frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (Master’s or CPA preferred)
• 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, including construction industry exposure
• Strong understanding of construction accounting concepts (WIP, retainage, liens, bonds, OCIP)
• Experience with construction ERP systems is a plus
• 5+ years managing a team in a high growth organization
• Familiarity with CBAs and payroll
• Strong GAAP knowledge and analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Partner with operations, estimating, procurement, and exec teams to align financial operations with goals
• Lead the P2P and OTC departments
• Ensure weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual requirements are met
• Coach and supervise a team of 5+
• Support external audits, vendor relationships, and insurance reviews
• Drive process improvements and system enhancements
• Analyze financial trends, project performance and cost drivers
• Provide financial modeling and scenario analysis for bids and capital investments
