Job summary

Southland Industries, a leading MEP firm, seeks a Finance Director to oversee accounting operations, drive financial reporting, and ensure internal controls across a business unit. The role requires guiding a team, analyzing data, and collaborating with management to support strategic decisions.

With at least five years in finance, you will optimize processes, ensure ERP effectiveness, and stay current on regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 5 years of relevant experience.
• Working knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.
• Analytical skills with the capacity for financial report interpretation, internal controls testing and external audits.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey financial information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Oversees finance and accounting operations for the assigned business unit, ensuring accurate financial information for decision-making.
• Supervises the finance/accounting team to help the business unit achieve objectives.
• Coordinates collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial and sales data.
