Job summary

Mossy Auto Group in San Diego, CA is seeking a Finance Manager/F&I Manager to drive revenue by selling finance and after-sale products to new and used car customers. A strong dealership finance background is preferred.

The role focuses on structuring deals, compliance, and building lender relationships, with a commission-based compensation and employee benefits package. Tekion DMS and Dealertrack experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Finance Manager/F&I Manager in an automotive dealership is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of automotive finance products, lender programs, and dealership finance and insurance procedures.
• Familiar with Tekion DMS and Dealertrack.
• Leadership abilities & outstanding customer service skills.
• Professional personal appearance & punctual.
• Excellent verbal/written communication, strong negotiation and presentation skills.
• Understands and follows posted dealership policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Help customers arrange financing and present additional products to enhance vehicle ownership.
• Structure deals for profitability and collectability.
• Be proficient with title laws and registration processes.
• Maintain required certifications for the position.
• Desk deals, submit to lenders for approval, make credit decisions, and close deals while ensuring collection of finance fees.
• Ensure all deals comply with local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Prepare paperwork, contracts, and deliver deals.
• Audit team deals post-sale for accuracy of title, loan information, and taxes.
• Ensure expeditious funding of all contracts with financial sources to secure approval.
• Maintain relationships with finance sources, including the manufacturer.
• Conduct business ethically and professionally.

Job description

The Finance Manager produces additional revenue for the dealership by selling finance and other appropriate after-sale items to new and used customers. Experience in dealership management, automotive sales and prior finance selling experience are encouraged to apply.

Employees in this position will primarily be paid commissions, however they will also be paid the applicable minimum wage for non-sales work and for rest periods. Commission amounts vary based on performance, with the expected average annual commission earnings of approx. $133,000 - $280,000.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for helping our customers arrange the financing of their purchases and presenting them with additional products that enhance their vehicle and ownership experience.
• Proficient at structuring deals for maximum profitability and collectability
• Fully proficient with title laws and registration process
• Maintains proficiency and certifications as required for the position
• Accurately desks deals, submits deals to lenders for approval, makes credit decisions, and effectively closes deals & ensures collection of all finance fees
• Ensures all deals are fully compliant with local, state and federal guidelines
• Prepares paperwork, contracts and delivers deals
• Accurately audits team deals Post-Sale for correct title, loan information, taxes, etc.
• Ensures the expeditious funding of all contracts, accurately and fairly through financial sources to secure approval
• Establishes and maintains good working relationships with several finance sources, including the manufacturer
• Conducts business in an ethical and professional manner
