Job summary

Efficient Computer, a fabless semiconductor company, is seeking its first dedicated finance hire to own accounting, tax, and compliance, working with external CPAs and auditors. You will shape a scalable finance function as the company grows and prepare for audits and growth.

You will lead month-end close, cash forecasting, budgeting, and partner with engineering, supply chain, and people ops to align plans with business strategy. Equity and growth opportunities accompany a competitive package.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in finance and accounting, with ownership of close and forecast.
• Experience building and maturing a finance function in a capital-intensive business (semiconductors or similar).
• Startup experience as an early finance hire and comfortable operating without a full finance team.

Responsibilities

• Account for accounting, tax, and compliance; manage month-end close with outsourced bookkeepers and filings with CPAs.
• Own GL, revenue recognition, inventory and cost accounting as production scales and contracts with manufacturers.
• Own payroll, AP, AR, billing and collections as revenue ramps, plus R&D tax credits and 174 treatment, and multi-state obligations.
