Job summary

REGENT is building a new category of coastal transport and seeks a Director of Finance to lead the day-to-day Finance function, own the ERP implementation, and serve as Controller through a growth transition. You’ll drive program and manufacturing economics, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic capital decisions while partnering with engineering, supply chain, and leadership to scale the business.

Qualifications

• Strong GAAP fluency with solid accounting judgment.
• Experience in hardware/manufacturing finance environments.
• Leadership across cross-functional teams, with clear business partner focus.
• Experience guiding external audits and first audit readiness.
• Proven ability to build and own financial models and forecasting.
• Experience implementing/scaling ERP systems (NetSuite a plus).
• Proven people leadership in a growing company.
• Experience building processes in ambiguous, scaling environments.
• Motivation by REGENT's mission and coastal transportation focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day Finance function and develop the team for REGENT’s scale.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, and People to align program and production economics.
• Own financial planning and modeling including budgets, forecasts, cash runway, and scenario analyses.
• Guide strategic capital decisions across programs, headcount, CapEx, and supplier commitments.
• Own accounting, close, reporting, and the first external audit, with board-ready numbers.
• Design and implement REGENT’s ERP, including COA, inventory, costing, and program accounting.
• Scale finance operations and controls with automation and governance without slowing growth.
