Job summary

Build People is assisting a confidential global manufacturer of engineered industrial components serving energy, industrial, and renewable markets in their search for a Director of Finance - Industrial. You will turn operational data into decisions that protect margins and fund growth, reporting directly to the CFO and leading a small, experienced finance team.

Key duties include closing the books monthly within 8 business days, building an 18-month rolling forecast, and leading annual budgets

Qualifications

• CPA or equivalent certification required.
• 8+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
• Manufacturing or industrial environment experience.
• Hands-on cost accounting, inventory valuation, and profitability analysis.
• Ability to present to owners and operators without jargon.

Responsibilities

• Close the books monthly within 8 business days with variance analysis.
• Build an 18-month rolling forecast accurate to within 5 percent.
• Lead annual budgeting across plant, sales, and R&D while controlling SG&A.
• Identify and execute $2M+ in working capital and cost savings in 18 months.
• Deliver board-ready financials and KPI dashboards on product lines and plants.
• Partner with operations to price new products at target margin from day one.
