Job summary

The Florida Department of Health seeks an Accounting Services Analyst A to provide complex financial accounting for the Bureau of WIC Program Services. You will receive, audit, and research invoices and credit memos, enter data into the Fiscal Database, and prepare invoices into voucher batches.

You will monitor SPIA reimbursements, track grant funding, analyze expenditure data, and assist with reporting requirements using FLAIR, RDS, and FIS.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of office procedures and practices; standard business formats; data collection.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and ensure accuracy in reports and spreadsheets.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Receives, audits and researches daily invoices and credit memos; verifies dates and amounts.
• Enters invoices/credit memos into the Fiscal Database and prepares voucher batches.
• Codes reimbursements to SPIA accounts; tracks and monitors grant year coding and reimbursements.
• Audits monthly expenditure reports and uses FLAIR, RDS and FIS for reporting corrections.
• Monitors voucher audit status and prepares affidavits for duplicate warrants as needed.
