Job summary

Florida Department of Health seeks an experienced payments specialist to manage processing within special programs and FLAIR, including leases and refunds. You will review applications, ensure signatures, verify vendor profiles, and enter payments in FLAIR.

Daily voucher assembly and year-end processing support are part of the role. Strong MS Office skills, clear English communication, and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to communicate effectively in English

Responsibilities

• Process payments within special programs and FLAIR, including Medical Quality Assurance Refunds.
• Review refund applications for completeness, verify vendor profiles in FLAIR, request new profiles if needed, and perform manual payment entry into FLAIR.
• Process lease payments monthly in FLAIR after verifying invoice and accounting information against encumbrance files and lease agreements.
• Assist Accountant IVs with special payment processing (Utilities, Telephone Payments, Journal Transfers, Medical Records, State Trauma payments).
• Assemble vouchers daily for work completed in the previous day, including printing vouchers and preparing them for DFS review.
• Assist in year-end processing as needed.
• Perform additional duties as required.
