Job summary

Basin Electric Power Cooperative in Bismarck, ND is seeking a STUDENT INTERN - FINANCE (INTERNAL CONTROLS) for the summer 2027 period. The role offers hands-on experience supporting SEC filings and financial reporting across departments, reporting to the Director of SEC Reporting & Internal Controls.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a 4-year accounting/finance program with at least two years completed and a minimum GPA of 2.5.

Qualifications

Must be enrolled as a full-time student in a four-year Accounting, Business, or Finance related program with at least 2 years completed or recent graduate (within the past 12 months).

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and submission of SEC filings, including quarterly and annual reports.
Conduct research and analysis to support the disclosure of financial information.
Provide strategic recommendations on financial reporting and compliance.
Collaborate with various departments to gather and verify financial data.
Ensure all financial disclosures meet SEC requirements and standards.
Support the Financial Services team in various projects and tasks as needed.
