Job summary

Emerson is seeking a motivated finance intern to join the global Professional Tools finance team. You will work closely with the Director FP&A to assist with financial analysis, planning and performance reporting, enabling data-driven decisions across the organization.

Responsibilities include monthly P&L and variance analysis, long-range planning, and cross-departmental initiatives. Enrollment in a finance-related bachelor's degree is required, with strong communication and teamwork skills

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in finance or related field from an accredited college or university.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and collaboration skills.
• Strong intellectual curiosity, with a clear passion for finance and readiness to learn from real-world work.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing monthly reporting including P&L, variance analysis and other dashboards
• Assist in long term financial planning Profit Plan by gathering inputs, validating assumptions and updating financial models
• Support cross-departmental initiatives (pricing actions, cost-savings programs, headcount plans, etc.)
• Assist with other projects as assigned
