Job summary

Emerson is seeking a motivated finance intern to join our global Professional Tools finance team. You will assist with monthly reporting, long-term planning, and performance analysis to drive data-based decision making.

You will work with the Director FP&A and cross-functional teams, gaining exposure to financial modeling and strategic initiatives while developing essential finance skills in a real-world setting.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in finance or related field from an accredited college or university
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and collaboration skills
• Strong intellectual curiosity, with a clear passion for finance and readiness to learn from real-world work

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing monthly reporting including P&L, variance analysis and other dashboards
• Assist in long term financial planning Profit Plan by gathering inputs, validating assumptions and updating financial models
• Support cross-departmental initiatives (pricing actions, cost-savings programs, headcount plans, etc.)
• Assist with other projects as assigned
