Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an intern to join the Operational Finance program for the summer. You will gain hands-on exposure to construction accounting, budgeting, cost tracking, and reporting.

You will work with AR/AP, GL, and month-end close tasks under supervision, with opportunities to apply AI tools to improve processes. The role emphasizes learning through project data and cross-functional collaboration, with paid benefits and exposure to diverse finance functions across sites

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a 2- or 4-year college offering accounting/finance studies with coursework.
• Must be 18 years of age to work on construction sites.
• Interest in finance supporting real-world construction projects and AI tools.
• Ability to take direction, listen actively, and meet deadlines.
• Strong organization and accurate data entry abilities.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Intern Program and complete learning requirements with supervision.
• Learn Turner accounting processes, including project accounting and revenue recognition.
• Support accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger tasks.
• Assist with budget analysis, journal entries, and month-end close support.
• Contribute to data collection, reporting, and AI-enabled analytics initiatives.
• Prepare ad hoc analyses and assist with process improvement opportunities.
