Job summary

Turner Construction, Boston Main, seeks a 2027 Operational Finance Intern to support profit centers with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger and project cost postings on a fast-paced construction finance team.

You will report to the Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant, assist with monthly close, audits, lien waivers, and invoice processing, and develop Excel/MS Office skills in an on-site, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

Enrolled in a 4-year college or university with accounting/finance focus, at least 1 year of education in finance.
Willing to work standard work week and participate in a team environment.
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with ability to manage accurate information.

Responsibilities

Assist accountant to ensure client contractual requirements for billing and AR are met.
Process AP for vendor invoices and keep accounts up to date for projects.
Process subcontractor AP, obtain lien waivers, and ensure contracts/insurance in place.
Contribute to monthly close, posting or accruals for material work.
Support audits and provide data as required by internal/external requests.
Prepare multi-project invoices for the central financial center.
Handle invoice processing admin tasks and tax documentation.
Assist with vendor setup and updates, and tax reporting.
