Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks an Intern for its Operational Finance program in Cincinnati, Ohio. This summer role will apply academic knowledge to real-world construction finance, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, GL, and cost tracking.

You will learn GAAP concepts, participate in budgeting analyses, and support month-end close with guidance from the finance team while gaining exposure to AI-enabled tools and data analytics to improve reporting.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Accounting/Finance program with relevant coursework.
• Ability to understand GAAP concepts and general accounting principles.
• Willingness to learn finance processes and use data tools.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic data tools.

Responsibilities

• Engage fully in the Intern Program and coordinate with supervisors to prioritize work.
• Learn Turner accounting processes, including construction accounting, earnings and revenue recognition.
• Support billing reviews, vendor and subcontractor invoicing, and month-end close tasks.
