Qualifications

• Hands-on accounting depth across business combination accounting and opening balance sheets.
• Ability to assess risk across accounting, tax, legal, HR, and IT early in a deal.
• Ability to document processes with scalable playbooks and templates.
• Ability to enforce standards and lead, not only assist, across the org.
• Strong field presence with controllers at acquired companies.
• Ownership mentality for integration workstreams and accountability.
• Fluency with systems and migration of platforms without losing history.
• Comfort with fast pace and multiple deals at once.
• Collaborative, low-ego approach across teams.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Close: support deal team with earnings quality and exposure assessment.
• Pre-Close: evaluate back-office for efficient operation inside the network.
• Pre-Close: track identified risks into the integration plan and close gaps.
• Post-Close: own opening balance sheet data and ASC 805 valuation inputs.
• Post-Close: lead balance sheet teardown and settle working capital true-ups.
• Post-Close: migrate accounting onto Orion processes and lead schedules.
• Post-Close: ensure audit readiness across the network.
• Framework: maintain and improve playbooks, checklists, and templates.
