Job summary

Staff Financial Group seeks a Director of Finance & Human Resources to lead the organization's financial operations and HR-related administration. This onsite role partners with executive leadership to ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting, audit coordination, retirement plan administration, and benefits oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, tax, or related field.
• CPA designation strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of accounting, tax, financial audit, or finance leadership experience.
• Experience overseeing HR-related financial and administrative responsibilities.
• Strong GAAP and financial compliance knowledge.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks.
• Excellent communication skills to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the setup, management, and ongoing operations of the finance department.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of all accounting and financial records.
• Review processes for GAAP compliance and efficiency.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements.
• Maintain fixed asset records and oversee property tax return prep.
• Review and approve employee expense reports.
• Coordinate year-end close and support tax preparers.
• Administer 401(k) and profit-sharing plans, including payroll deferrals, loans, distributions, and participant requests.
• Review and approve employee benefits billings; coordinate benefits administration.
• Handle COBRA and continuation benefit processes.
• Facilitate annual financial statement audits.
• Serve as backup for executive financial leadership.
• Support HR-related operational/admin responsibilities as needed.
