Job summary

Confidential Employer seeks a CPA-level Director of Finance & HR to lead accounting, financial reporting, audits, retirement plan administration, benefits oversight, and HR-related financial operations. This onsite role partners with executive leadership to strengthen operational efficiency and compliance.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in finance leadership, a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, CPA preferred, GAAP expertise, and proficiency with QuickBooks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or related field.
• CPA designation strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of accounting, tax, financial audit, or finance leadership experience.
• Experience overseeing HR-related financial and administrative responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial compliance practices.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks.
• Excellent communication skills for non-financial stakeholders.
• Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the setup, management, and ongoing operations of the finance department
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of all accounting and financial records
• Review processes for GAAP compliance and efficiency
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements
• Administer 401(k) and profit-sharing plans and benefits administration
• Coordinate year-end close and assist tax preparers
• Oversee audits and serve as financial partner to executives
• Support HR-related administrative responsibilities as needed
