Job summary

Sasquatch Agency in Portland, OR, seeks a Finance/HR Generalist to manage day-to-day accounting, payroll, and human resources for a 25-person marketing services firm.

You will maintain the general ledger, process payroll bi-weekly, handle accounts payable/receivable, file tax documents, and oversee benefits, onboarding, and offboarding. This role requires strong organizational skills and proficiency with QuickBooks in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Experience in full-service organizational accounting.
• Advertising or marketing agency experience preferred.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and accounting software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting functions including AP, AR, client billing, and general ledger.
• Administer payroll system bi-weekly processing and payroll tax monitoring.
• Manage banking activities.
• Reconcile balance sheet monthly and ensure accuracy of entries.
• Maintain financial controls and procedures for reliable financial information.
• Forecast cash flow and provide reports to ownership.
• Prepare year-end tax documentation and 1099 filings.
• Track asset purchases and inventory; file property tax returns.
• Provide timely reports including monthly operating budget and aged payables/receivables.
• Oversee benefits portfolio (health, dental, vision, 401K).
• Handle onboarding/offboarding and maintain employee files.
• Clerical duties in accounting department and other duties as assigned.
