Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking an Enterprise Application Support Technician to join our Corporate Enterprise Systems Team, focusing on Deltek Costpoint, RFgen, Bloomberg Tax, and the Costpoint Content Management Interface, including remote access environments.

The role serves as the primary line of defense for EST – Technical, investigating issues, performing root-cause analysis, and coordinating with senior engineers on upgrades and data integration work.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in IT support or a highly-technical IT role.
• Experience supporting enterprise-grade applications, ERP systems (Deltek Costpoint preferred).
• Foundational understanding of data structures, basic SQL querying, or API/interface concepts.
• Strong technical communication skills, able to translate symptoms into diagnostic data.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical support contact and ticket queue manager for the EST, handling escalations for Costpoint, RFgen, Bloomberg Tax, and related apps.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application-level issues, security/access requests, and routine system errors.
• Perform root cause analysis on operational problems, isolating issues between network, database, and application layers before escalating.
• Monitor interface health, scheduled system jobs, and automated data pipelines to identify failures.
• Assist with enterprise application upgrades, SaaS readiness initiatives, and system release management.
• Execute and validate system testing routines during ERP upgrades and configuration changes.
• Partner with developers and infrastructure teams to support deployment of tech-driven solutions, custom integrations, and workflow automations.
• Maintain and update operational runbooks, system configurations, troubleshooting guides, and user access provisioning documentation.
• Ensure all access and system modifications comply with security standards, audit controls, and compliance boundaries.
• Actively train in advanced system administration or solution architecture to support team redundancy and career progression.
