Job summary

Sewer Equipment seeks a Director of Finance to lead the accounting team and partner with the executive team on profitability, cash flow, and growth. You will oversee GAAP reporting, budgeting, and controls while guiding IT and HR administration.

Ideal candidates bring 8–10+ years in finance, CPA, and manufacturing experience, with a data-driven leadership style. Onsite role in Dixon, IL with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; CPA required.
• 8-10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including 3-5 years in leadership.
• Manufacturing or industrial equipment industry experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost and inventory accounting, and internal controls.
• Expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and capital project analysis.
• Experience managing lender relationships and covenant compliance.
• ERP experience (Made2Manage a plus) and advanced Excel; Power BI a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budget and rolling forecasts in partnership with department leaders.
• Develop KPIs and management dashboards covering margin, cost, cash, and operations.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close and GAAP financial statements.
• Oversee cost accounting, standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.
• Manage external accounting firm for audits and tax filings.
• Drive process improvement, automation, and ERP utilization.
• Lead and develop the Finance and Accounting team; oversee IT operations and HR administration.
