Sewer Equipment Co. seeks a Director of Finance in Dixon, IL. This leadership role oversees the Accounting team, IT, and financial planning to drive profitability and cash flow. You will partner with the executive team to guide budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Finance/Accounting and a CPA, with 8–10+ years in accounting/finance and 3–5 years in leadership. Manufacturing industry experience is preferred; Made2Manage ERP and Power BI are pluses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA required.
• 8–10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including 3–5 years in leadership.
• Manufacturing or industrial equipment industry experience strongly preferred.
• GAAP knowledge, cost/inventory accounting, and internal controls.
• Expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and capital project analysis.
• Experience managing lender relationships and covenant compliance.
• ERP experience (Made2Manage a plus) and advanced Excel; Power BI a plus.
• Proven leader and communicator with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Serve as key financial advisor to the Vice President of Operations and CFO.
• Lead the annual budget and rolling forecasts in partnership with department leaders.
• Develop KPIs and management dashboards covering margin, cost, cash, and operations.
• Ensure a timely, accurate month-end and year-end close and GAAP financial statements.
• Oversee cost accounting, standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.
• Maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures; mitigate financial risk.
• Oversee AP, AR, credit and collections, payroll, and fixed asset accounting.
• Manage the external accounting firm for the annual audit and all federal and state tax filings.
• Drive process improvement, automation, and ERP (Made2Manage) and reporting utilization.
