Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a Director of Finance for the Virginia Guesthouse Hotel and Conference Center in Charlottesville, VA. You will oversee financial planning, analysis, and controls for a newly built 214-room property with 25,000 sq ft of event space, reporting to the General Manager.

Lead the finance team, establish procedures from the ground up, ensure GAAP compliance, and partner with senior leadership to align financial goals with operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business studies is required; CPA or master’s is a plus.
• Minimum five years’ accounting management experience in hospitality or related industry.
• Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.
• Strong knowledge of Excel and familiarity with accounting software packages.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, reporting, cash flow, payroll, and audits.
• Build internal financial SOPs for pre-opening and vendor reviews.
• Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, forecasts, and ownership reports.
• Develop internal controls across F&B, payroll, purchasing, and inventory.
• Collaborate with Executive Team to align financial goals with operations.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and adherence to Pyramid SOPs and regulations.
• Recruit, train, and mentor the finance team and participate in the Executive Committee.
