Job summary

UL is seeking a Finance Development Program Associate in Northbrook, IL, to join a two-year, four-rotation program spanning financial operations, with rotations in FP&A, general accounting, treasury, and tax. You will work on routine tasks and high-impact projects, guided by senior leaders and mentors, preparing you for future roles within UL.

Throughout the program, FDPs receive extensive training, exposure to top leaders, and mentorship, with on-going development.

Qualifications

• Final-year undergraduate student in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or related major.
• Bachelor’s degree to be completed before the intended full-time start date.
• Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze and interpret information from diverse sources.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial analyses to explain variances in financial performance of various organizations or to develop a business case.
• Participate in development of budgets, forecasts, or strategic plans.
• Assist in preparation of financial reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information and trends.
• Work on projects to improve efficiency and lower costs in shared services (credit, billing, collections, cash applications, payables).
• Assist with tax filings and research impact of tax changes.
• Assist with treasury activities including daily cash management and reconciliations.
