Job summary

BMO in the United States is seeking a senior finance controllership professional to manage day-to-day operations, including loan administration and servicing, ledger balancing, payments and transactions.

You will partner with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Operations, and stakeholders, lead strategic initiatives, develop analytics, and oversee vendor relationships; candidates should have 7+ years of experience and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Typically 7+ years of relevant experience in finance or controllership.
• Expert knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of risk and regulatory requirements in the business.
• Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.
• Proven leadership and ability to manage cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Acts as a subject matter expert on regulations, accounting principles, and policies.
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Operations, and stakeholders.
• Lead and manage strategic initiatives to deliver business and financial goals.
• Design and produce regular and ad-hoc analytics and reports.
• Lead change management programs and communication strategies.
• Oversee vendor relationships and ensure agreements meet requirements.
• Provide accurate processing of service requests and maintain data integrity.
