Job summary

BDO USA seeks a BI Manager to lead a Finance BI team responsible for designing, building, and governing reporting, analytics, and automation solutions supporting Finance and enterprise decision-making.

You will set development standards, semantic models, and governance, overseeing Power BI, SQL, data modeling, and Power Automate deliverables, ensuring quality, security, and reliability of the Finance BI portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years in Data Analytics/BI or Application Development.
• 2+ years leading or managing a technical team.
• Experience with Finance data preferred.
• Strong SQL skills required.
• 5+ years in Data Modeling, Semantic Model Definition or Star Schema construction.
• Experience with Power Automate workflows preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop a team of Finance BI professionals.
• Escalate and resolve complex Power BI, SQL, data modeling, and Power Automate issues.
• Own Finance BI architecture, standards, and data governance.
• Translate priorities into a team roadmap and resourcing plan.
• Review and approve Power BI reports, semantic models, and data transformations.
• Ensure end-user training and proper access controls including Row Level Security.
• Collaborate with data engineering and IT to secure data and infrastructure.
• Promote AI-enabled development practices with emphasis on privacy and security.
• Maintain documentation, testing, and peer review processes.
• Communicate status and risks to Finance BI leadership.
