Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a BI Manager to lead a Finance BI team delivering reporting, analytics, and automation that support finance and business decisions. You will set standards for semantic models and governance, directing Power BI, SQL, data modeling, and Power Automate work.

You will partner with Finance leadership to translate priorities into a team roadmap, oversee quality and security of the BI portfolio, and mentor staff while driving best practices across the function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, required.
• Five or more years in Data Analytics, BI or similar.
• Two or more years leading or managing a technical team.

Responsibilities

• Leads, manages, and develops a team of Finance BI Developers and Analysts.
• Escalation point for complex Power BI/SQL/data modeling issues.
• Owns Finance BI architecture and governance standards.
• Translates priorities into a coordinated team roadmap and resourcing plan.
• Reviews Power BI reports, semantic models, and data transformations for quality.
• Ensures up-to-date end-user training for reports.
• Oversees workspace management, permissions, and access controls including Row Level Security.
• Maintains relationships with data engineering and IT partners.
• Drives adoption of AI-enabled development responsibly with privacy and compliance in mind.
• Establishes standards for version control, testing, and documentation.
• Communicates status and risks to Finance BI leadership.
