Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Uses Excel spreadsheets to develop automated processes to minimize manual work.
• Assist in reviewing, analyzing, and investigating discrepancies in charges; help make changes for professional and hospital charges.
• Prepare financial and statistical analyses for Advocate Health and affiliates; extract and manipulate data for trend calculations.
• Develop and maintain cost accounting and productivity standards; perform variance analysis on these standards.
• Assist in developing procedural prices using costing methodologies and market data.
• Prepare, communicate and monitor operating and capital budgets.
• Support areas like budgeting, finance, cost accounting and reporting.
• Apply government program and managed care rules and payment mechanisms to financial activities.
• Assist in charge reconciliation by reviewing patient charges in billing systems.
• Assist with revenue cycle projects such as cash posting, insurance follow up, coding missing documentation, etc.
• Track and update reports as necessary.
• Handle administrative duties and support staff with meetings.
• Possibly participate in developing programs, processes or applications.
• Assist in investigation of questions related to internal financial reporting with Finance/Operations.
